Youth United organized a HEALTH CAMPAIGN named YU-HEALin colony no-5(a noted slum area in Chandigarh), sector- 51, Chandigarh on 14th and 15th March, 2009. In this two day health camp, doctors from Sohana Trust, Sohana, BDS department, PU and Elfin Pharmaceutical tried to address the health problems of residents and free medicines were provided. Nearly 250 patients on Day-1 and 450 patients on Day-2 underwent checkup.
The chief guest, Mrs. Kamlesh, Mayor UT Chandigarh extended her support in Youth United's YUMEAM project. YU-HEAL is the sub-project of parent project YUMEAM in which problems of underprivileged section of society are addressed.
YU-Heal was organized by Youth United in an endeavour to solve the health problems faced by the inhabitants of colony no-5. The camp was carried on for two days i.e 14th march and 15th march. On 14th, the SGHS Eye Hospital Trust, Sohana and BDS department, PU provided the health checkups. On 15th, the Elfin Pharma, a mohali based company extended their support by providing with doctors and free medicines. Around 700 patients were treated in all.
