On occasion of International Women's Day 2009, Youth United organized a function in colony no-5, sector-51, Chandigarh where women were taught how to make paper bags. After wards, a paper bag making competition was held where almost 15 teams of women participated. The winners were given prizes and refreshments were also distributed.
The chief guest, Mrs Manju Bhalla, Social worker and wife of Justice Bhalla attended the function and awared the women about their rights and responsibility towards society.
Women's Day Celebrations! was organized by Youth United on International Women's Day for colony women, who are the future custodians of the nation, and thus providing them with a good social and educational environment is a goal ardently worked for by Youth United.
Paper bag making competition was held wherein the winners were given prizes. We had an interactive session with the women enlightening them about their responsibility towards society. This was followed by some fun-filled games and later refreshments were distributed.
