After the success of Smiling Future-1, Youth United organized its annual event 'Smiling Future-2' on 28th March 2009. This event acts as a platform for the underprivileged students to showcase their talents. There were heart-touching performances given by students from six different schools for underprivileged children and mentally challenged children. Each of the performing school was given a donation from the funds thus collected. This year, there were performances by Pustak, Prayaas, Sadhna, Samarth, Hamari Kaksha and Theatre Age as more children were given a chance to showcase their talent. Special performance were given by Rockers, Defaulterz and Salsa, Bhangra and Gidda teams to help raise funds for the underprivileged kids. Chief Guest Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Finance Secretary, UT, Chandigarh appreciated the efforts made by Youth United. "Its good to see that younger generation has not forgotten to help underprivileged", said Mr Sanjay, while addressing the audience. He extended his full support in future events of Youth United.

Certificates and Prizes were given to all the performing schools by Guest of Honor, Mr I.S. Sandhu, ADC, Chandigarh and SDM(Central), UT. Other diginataries present were ASP(central) Mr. Madhur Verma , SDM(East) and Director RLA, Chandigarh, Mrs. Niharika Rai and Father. Sabastian from Don Bosco Society

Youth United, being a registered NGO has been undertaking a lot of activities for social and environmental causes. This event helps raise funds for the welfare of underprivileged children.
