Health Mela (Colony No. 4)

Youth United participated in the Health Mela organised by the Chandigarh Administration, as a voluntary NGO, where it contemplated the issue of Female Foeticide. On 5th July 2009, Youth United became a part of the Health Mela organised in Colony No 4(a noted slum area in Chandigarh) by Chandigarh administration. In that health camp, Youth United took forward the issue of female foeticide and made masses aware of Female Foeticide. Youth United members made general public aware of the government schemes - Apni Beti Apna Dhan and scholarship program for the single girl child. His Excellency, Governor S.F.Rodrigues lauded the efforts of Youth United and appreciated the initiatives by the students and the social activists who are a part of Youth United.
