COPENHAGEN Climate Conference 2009 2009/09/29 18:49 Karma: 1
Hello,
This year there is an international meeting on the topic of Climate Change which will be held in Copenhagen from 6-18 December 2009. Governmental representatives from 170 countries are expected to be in Copenhagen in the days of the conference accompanied by other governmental representatives, NGO's, journalists and others. In total 8000 people are expected to Copenhagen in the days of the climate meeting. The host of the meeting is DENMARK.
India will be playing a prominent part in these meet as India is among the fastest developing countries in the world but Indian government is not handling it in right way as far as i think. They end up giving a single excuse that we are a developing country and we can not reduce our carbon emissions. But i think that we will develop with greater force if we will introduce GREEN IDEAS in our technology or day today life.

I would like to see a good response to this topic if it happens , my next article will a big one and much more interesting.

I think thats a nice opportunity for govt or non govt bodies who works in d similar field.
But I think Govt. shud assist financially the NGOs to take part in these kinds of programs so that their competencies can be increased which is otherwise required by any NGO to work efficiently for the Society.

drops of water constitute an ocean.if each of us is responsible for polluting the environment i think it's high time we realise our responsibility towards saving the environment n ourselves, even if it means contributing in our own little way

i don't know how many of you are aware of the fact that BMW US manufacturing plant's 60% of energy is met by methane gas being extracted from land fills across the state..We just need more sensitive & intelligent officials cause others are setting examples for others to follow but alas we indians believe in the age old policy for maximum work from minimum input. If just once we start investing in green ideas for corporate sectors ,barring initial low profits, future benefits would be tremendous..
On this gandhi jayanti we can only hope.....
