The journey so far ... 2009/09/19 19:24
Well it was one of the routine days...post meeting ...tiredness, exhaustion ..n then suddenly Aman comes up with this idea of sharing our experiences in YU till date..what motivated us to join the organization and why we are here today ! So, here i am letting everybody know what passion i feel for YU

It was durig my 3rd year in college that one of my friends told me about Youth United and the activities it does...i joined...just to oblige him ...just for the sake of doing somethig new and different... In the beginning , the concept did not appeal to me much to be very frank ...i was part of some events like the one held in sec 17 on global warming , n the one held in british library, and the rock n roll workshop...there were times when i felt that the only reason i m holding on to YU is because of my friends who introduced me to it ....it had almost become an obligation ! days passed by ...i often wondered what gud am i doin to this organization ...it was then that i was asked to collect funds for smiling future 1. Trust me people for the first time i did not feel ashamed collecting donations ..the cause was soo noble and for teh ones who attended the event ...it was indeed a touching site ... nothing in the world can beat the satisfaction you derieve by associating yourself with such a cause !

It was then that i actually realized Youth United is now a very part of my being. Right from teaching you how to organize an event , manage a team of people, how to interact with people from different walks of life, giving you the opportunity to help needy people and reach out to the masses YU has given me everything that is needed for an overall personality development .

I think today i can tell everyone with great pride that i am part of a great organization called YOUTH UNITED. what has kept me bound to this organization for soo long is the attachment i feel with each of the members , the satisfaction i get when ever an event is succesful and whenever we are able to bring a smile on someones face... n yes of course the value additions that i am making to my own personality ... YU to me today is not just an organization on papers its more of A FAMILY ...!!!

I really hope all of us realize the noble cause we are all here for , and work with full enthusiasm to 'foster the development of the society , through the power of youth ' as our aim reads ! As for me , i pledge to be a part of this family for all times to come... expecting the same from all of you ..

WISHING THE YOUTH UNITED FAMILY GREATER SUCCESS IN FUTURE !!!

So here I am 2009/09/19 19:33
This article was submitted on YU Blog(now repealed) by user ajai.boparai on 18 July, 2009

For the past year, after reading about it in the papers, i've been yearning to join Youth United.

Being driven by a passion, a passion to 'do something' for our very own country, i've always wanted to join YU, and make my vote count.

However, being busy with studies, and no internet connection at home, my plans kept getting delayed.

Until yesterday.

As soon as my internet account got activated, the first thing i did was that i became a member of YU. now, with peace, i can commence with my endeavor to uplift the plight of millions of people in India, the land of my predecessors, and hopefully, the land of my successors.

all those of you who share the same passion as i do, well, NOW is the time to do what we've always wanted to, because the awareness (about everything!) that exists in India today, has never been seen before. Now is the time to make our voices heard, and to make a difference...

Hey evry1,
Continuing with the reply of parul (our h'ble sergeant at arms) about our experience so far in YU, i would like to say that YU is indeed a close knit family. Initially i did was not an official member of YU though i participated in events like the 1 for global warming in sec 17 plazza, rock nd roll, distributed tabloids nd did sm stuff that joy told us and it was all for friendships sake. And also i would like to confess that i used the name of YU in my CV (it was the end of my 3rd yr) without any formal membership or contributing substantially for the organisation...and for that my friend jyotendra even gave me a certificate of executive member. It was then that i decided to be a part of it as that certificate reminded me of my injustice to the organisation.
From then onwards it has been a gr8 journey with YU.
Also i would like to congratulate jyotendra and fellow yuites to bring this organisation to such a gr8 level.
I hav seen joy (jyotendra) working for it day and night..coming to my rum for suggestions, future plans, asking us to be a part and contribute. It was because of his efforts and your contribution that we are now a registered and tax exempted NGO. He has been a very good friend all these years, helping and supportive, always ready to help even in the strictest of his time schedules.HATS OFF to u joy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also i must say Yu is the most organised ngo i have ever seen (not to mention the number of posts we have )...i mean seriously we dont waste any time to create a new post.
So far i have been part of various events like YU heal 1 nd 2, smiling future, Yu MEAM and now i feel more attached to it than i was before.
Bur 1 thing that i feel is that we have to follow a lot many procedures and processes before we finally do smthing..may b i will understand it at a later time...
Nyways on a closing note i wish Yu a whole lot growth and success in future.....
Good luck YU and YUites

yeah I m listening Parul.
I m indeed honored to have these words frm u all ,
but i believe the credit of all achievements, efforts, undertakings and ideas go to every member of the organization. The Governing Body members should also be given major credit for these activities, for we are United and hence we are developing very rapidly.
Please everyone use this forum to share your experiences.

About my experiences, I will share it whn everyone is done with their experiences, as I may have a lot to say.

Governing Body members please go ahead, we would like to listen to you.

And remember credit goes to everyone for everything Youth United does.

United We Stand !
